What's Your Motivation?

I talk about nutrition a ton for obvious reasons, but fitness is an important component of your well being. Now when I say fitness, I don't just mean having defined abs or toned arms. Being fit means that you can do whatever your body is capable of. Making sure that you are getting in some movement within each day is important. Not only does it help with your cardiovascular health, but it is also a great de stressor. The key is to make sure that you are doing something you love and enjoy. They say that crossfit is great for you, but if you don't enjoy doing it, what's the point? If spin classes make you happy or even just taking a walk and getting some fresh air makes you smile, then do it. Exercising should be done because you want to better yourself and it should feel good. You should not have the only intention of "losing weight" or "getting toned". Those goals imply that you don't like your body in its state and are doing everything in your power to change or alter it. Instead focus on what feels good.

As Elle Woods in Legally Blonde said... "Exercise gives you endorphins; endorphins make you happy..."
